Improvements to final DPS

I had several ideas for my dps design and trialed these out with the images that i wanted to use and designing ways to fit the interview body in, in a easy to read way.

For the first design i thought that the columns should have been 'justified' to fit perfectly in the columns so that they all look the same. Also all the text was in white so it was difficult to tell what was the question and what was the answers.

To improve this, I justified all of the body to fit into the columns and changed the colour of the questions to the answers. I also separated the stand first to make it more clearer that its separate from the actual interview.

although this design corresponded with the house style and colour scheme of the magazine, I thought it was too difficult to read and there was too much space in the top half. This is because of the picutre that i had chosen to represnt the headlines for this article, however i think that although it does this it doenst work well as the main image because of the amount of space.

I therefore re-designed my dps looking closely at other articles in Rock Sound. I thought that i should represent the band in a more 'Fun' way , as it represents their lifestyle and the readers would be able to connect to them, and a more 'quirky' image automatically draws the attention of any reader in the first place.
After i had redesigned the DPS using all the aspects that i had found to work best and carefully selected the best images to represent the band, I added captions to describe the pictures and created a graphic to use to make the link to the actual interview online so the audience can find out more about the article and therefore once online can use suggestions and adverts as an opportunity to attract more audiences and allow them to 'share' the information with their friends in a quick and effective way
